Here is a great 1st Edition of a comb bound, soft cover cookbook compiled by Twickenham Historic Preservation District in Huntsville Alabama and published in 1978. Titled: Twickenham Receipts and Sketches. The cookbook is in good used condition with just a little wear to the covers and edges from use and re-shelving. Front cover has some kitchen soil at the bottom. INSIDE the first page—title page has a gift inscription To Susan Love Elaine and Lenn and the last blank page has a few favorite recipes listed, otherwise, the pages are at least 98% free of any marks, stains or writing—a few splash stains on the side edges of a pages.
Chapters include: Appetizers and Beverages, Breads, Cakes & Frostings, Candy & Desserts, Cookies & Pies, Meats & Main Dishes, Pickles – Relishes – Jellies – Preserves, Poultry – Seafood – Game, Salads, Soups – Sauces – Dressings, Vegetables, Index. There are 248 pages including index with an average of 2 recipes per page. Cookbook has sketches of houses in the area.
