Here is a wonderful wood board –shaped like a large bread cutting board that was the Menu at Pheasant Run Lodge St Charles Illinois (which still is in existence). On one side, the Wine List (with A Mumm’s Cordon Rouge French Champagne selling for $10 a bottle and Cook’s Champagne selling for $6.50-and these were the more expensive wines.
On the flip side the menu from maybe the restaurant called THE BAKER’S WIFE with a London Martini with Beefeaters selling for 90 cents. A Filet Mignon for $5.75 and Twin African Lobster Tails with drawn butter for $4.75, Prime Rib was $4.90 and Half a Chicken Broiled was $3.25.
The wood board measures 18 ¾ inches tall at the handle and just over 11 ½ inches wide and 2/10s of an inch thick. On the wine side of the board—right margin there are a few small stains of what could be paint. (They show up more in the photo than they really show on the paddle.) The board is in good shape for its age with just a little wear around the hole in the handle where it looks like the menus were hung up at the restaurant.
And just so you know..
