Here is a very nice hard cover copy of the classic and MUST HAVE “from scratch” cookbook from Fannie Merritt Farmer—one of the first complete cookbooks! This is an 8th Edition completely revised by Wilma Lord Perkins and dated 1946.
This copy is in good condition for its age with just a bit of wear to the front and back covers from use and re-shelving. Spine a little loose—but no loose pages. A little rubbing at the bottom tips of the front and back covers. INSIDE the front cover there are some old prices in pencil and a recipe note on the top edge of the first page. Very faint stain on the bottom edge of the title page and a few pages after that. Otherwise, the pages are at least 97% free of any marks, stains or writing. There are two pages that have creases on each page that accidentally happened when the cookbook was closed.
