This wire bound cookbook is in lightly used condition. It is not dated, but according to the Fergus Falls Daily paper, Jewell Leeseberg, 80, of Alexandria, died on Nov. 28, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1920 in Colfax, N.D. She married Floyd Leeseberg on Easter Sunday, March 24, 1940.
In 1959, she started her own catering business which she retired from in 1982 because of her husband's illness. After retiring she wrote a cookbook "Country Catering" which was sold in all but two states of the U.S.A.
The front and back covers show a little wear at the edges and tips from use and re-shelving. INSIDE the pages are at least 98% free of any marks, stains or writing.
This cookbook is GREAT for someone who wants to tackle quantity cooking for a small crowd or church group! It explains the basic styles of service and many things you might not think about.
Some of the chapters include: Wedding Cakes, Brunch, Luncheon, Fruit & Vegetable Salads, Desserts, and MORE! Family Sized Recipes include Scandinavian favorites! There is an average of 3-4 recipes per page. A great cookbook!
