Here's a great wire bound cookbook from St AUGUSTA, Minnesota (MN) circa 1976, titled: FROM THE COUNTRY KITCHENS OF ST AUGUSTA
This 30+ year old cookbook is in good condition for its age with just a little wear and light stains on the front and back covers. INSIDE the pages are at least 96% free of any marks, stains or writing--there are a few VERY small notes by a couple of recipes like 'very good' or little checks by the recipe.
The cookbook measures 5 1/2 inches wide by just over 8 inches tall with 251 pages! The recipes were typed out - no computers yet--and the name of the recipe's contributor is mentioned.
Chapters include: Appetizers & Beverages, Breads, Cakes & Frostings, Candy, Cookies & Bars, Desserts, Main Dishes, Pickles & Relishes, Pies & Pastry, Salads & Dressings, Vegetables, Misc and Helpful Hints. There's an average of 2-3 recipes per page. This cookbook is FILLED with wonderful 'from scratch--comfort food' recipes! Only in Minnesota! YUMMY!
