Here's another great recipe collection from Louisiana with Cajun and Creole recipes. A great comb bound cookbook from The Women of All Saint's Episcopal Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. This copy is titled... La Bonne Cuisine: Cooking New Orleans Style
This soft cover, comb bound cookbook measures about 5 1/2 inches across and 10 1/2 inches tall with 346 pages! This is a 7th printing from 1988. The cookbook is in lightly used condition, with just some wear to the front and back covers from use and re-shelving. INSIDE the pages are at least 99% free from any marks, stains or writing (I couldn't find any.)
More than 550 recipes carefully tested for accuracy and appeal which reflect the way people in New Orleans really cook.
I can say without hesitation that this cookbook will provide you with beau coup examples of real New Orleans cuisine that you will enjoy to the fullest.
This book started out as a labor of love in 1980 and has grown into one of New Orleans' most popular cookbooks. In fact, it was awarded the "Outstanding Community Cookbook Award" from the Tabasco/McIlhenny Company Cookbook Hall of Fame. It has also been mentioned in Town & Country and other magazines. There are several other great cookbooks which capture the essence of New Orleans cuisine, and this one is a sleeper that ranks right at the top.
