For those of you who have no idea of the joy we feel here in Minnesota going "up to the lake", this comb-bound cookbook will give you a taste. This cookbook is from MADDEN LODGE in Minnesota, where many of these recipes were served to the resort guests. This soft cover cookbook is titled... STRAWBERRIES ARE RIPE Complete Cookbook by Peg Madden of MADDEN LODGE on GULL LAKE in BRAINERD, Minnesota.
This cookbook is in good used condition. The front and back covers show just light wear at the edges and corners from re-shelving. There are some stains and one of the rings of the comb spine is broken, but that doesn't effect the pages. INSIDE, the cookbook is very nice condition and the pages are at least 99% free of any marks, stains or writing. INSIDE is in great shape!
The recipes are pure comfort food--a cookbook where BUTTER rules!
