Here is a great deal on a classic vintage cookbook titled... SEARCHLIGHT RECIPE BOOK (Cookbook) Originally published in 1931, THIS copy is a 16th Revised and Illustrated Edition from 1943. This is a cookbook that was used so it shows some wear to the front and back covers--specifically the tips and edges of the covers from use and re-shelving. The tips show wear through the black covering at the bottom tips. A few stains on the cover -- more on the front cover. INSIDE the tabbed chapter index shows foxing and curling from use and age. The first 20 pages or less show some water wrinkles - a spilled cup of water or weak tea that shows faintly. The last 20 pages of the cookbook also have a stain perhaps vanilla that again is faint. Last blank page has the original owner's name written in pencil. With 320 pages the bulk of the pages show minimal marks, stains and writing. Just some foxing around the edges of the pages from age. Even with the ripples and faded stains in the book, considering its age it is well worth having in your vintage recipe collection!
