Here is a vintage community cookbook from the Onaway Club in the Central Park district of Superior Wisconsin (WI). This is a 6th printing from 1967 with the original printing from 1961. It was a project to raise money for Easter Seals.
The wire spiral bound cookbook is in good condition for its age with just a few faint stains to the front cover and some wear at the edges of the front and back covers and where it meets the spine from use and re-shelving. INSIDE the pages are at least 97% free of any marks, stains or writing. The title page has notes in pencil about favorite recipes in the book, and a few recipes have notes. (See pics.)
With 475 recipes and each recipe with the name of the contributing cook.
Chapters include: Appetizers, Sandwiches, Casseroles & Main Dishes, Barbecue ideas, Salads & Dressings, Candies & Preserves, Bread & Doughnuts, Icings & Fillings, Cookies, Cakes, Men’s Section, Pies & Pastry, Desserts along with information about the club and Quantity cooking. There are an average of 5 recipes per page. Wonderful “from scratch” recipes!
