Here is a rare (vintage 1947) soft cover, metal ring bound cookbook from Marshall Minnesota titled... Episcopal Ladies Cookbook The Cecilia Guild.
This cookbook is over 60 years old so it does show kitchen wear to the front and back covers from use, age and storage. The covers paper show wear at the edges. The front cover has a tear at the side edge about an inch into the cover and the back cover has crackling. (See all the pictures.) INSIDE the pages are at least 96% free of any marks, stains or writing.
Chapters include: Canning, Cold Pack, Freezing, Pressure Cookery, Quantity Cooking, Beverages, Breads, Cakes, Candy, Cookies, Desserts, Dessert Sauces, Doughnuts, Frostings, Jam, Meat Dishes, Meatless Dishes, Meat Sauces, Muffins, Pickles, Pies, Rolls, Salads & Dressings, Waffles & Dumplings. Page 174 (last page) has a hand written recipe. Just a few of the pages have a few splashes and stains. and sprinkled through the cookbook are ads from the town of Marshall--where the phone numbers to merchants have 4 numbers. See the pictures!
