Here is a hard to find hard cover (with dust jacket) titled... The Picayune's Creole Cook Book (Cookbook) Sesquicentennial Edition ISBN Number: B000I0PL7Y (From the Times- Picayune Newspaper in New Orleans, Louisiana!) Printed in 1987.
The dust jacket shows wear (and a few very small tears) at the top and bottom edges of the dust jacket, but it did a great job of protecting the navy blue cloth covered boards of the front and back covers with silver stamped titles, front and spine. INSIDE the first blank page has a the top tip corner missing (a few inches into the page at the top and side edge) from no doubt a private inscription. Otherwise, the pages are at least 98% free of any marks, stains or writing.
This Sesquicentennial Edition was published in celebration of the The Times-Picayune 's 150th Anniversary. Based on the second edition, considered the definitive version, the original text remains intact. Minor changes have been made for clarification. (From the back jacket)... The original was compiled at the turn of the century to preserve for posterity the secrets of Creole cookery and to insure a Creole heritage for future generations. The result of these efforts was not a mere cookbook, but a mirror of history, reflecting a gracious manner of living in an era characterized by change. With 629 pages and an average of one recipe per page.
