Here is a 1st Printing from 1965 of the classic "must have" cookbook titled..... A TREASURY of GREAT RECIPES by Mary and Vincent Price. Please see all the pictures and read the whole text.
This over-sized faux leather padded hard cover book is in used but good condition for its age. It measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall with 488 pages. Just a little wear on the spine and the front and back covers edges and tips show only light wear from use and re-shelving. Front and back covers have some light indentations in that soft cover---very common. SPECIAL NOTE: the inside back cover, where the spine meets the inside back cover has some distress with the flypaper. It could be repaired by clear tape--good tape, but I will leave that to you mend if you want. See all the pictures.
INSIDE the pages are 98% free of any marks, stains or writing. A few pages show some foxing/tanning of the page from age. A little wear and fading to the ribbons from re-shelving and age. Still has the original paper book marker!
This is a truly beautiful cookbook with one of the nicest cover designs--it has different bronze, coppers and golds and has gilt embellishments.
Written by the famous 50's horror movie actor Vincent Price, and his wife Mary. The book includes recipes from mainly hotels and restaurants around the world, including the US--many from Europe as well. It has illustrations and full color photos of some of the prepared dishes and the places visited.
