This is one of the better faux finish instruction books available! It demonstrates each paint finish in easy to understand steps so there is no misunderstanding the instructions. The author is also rather eclectic and makes jokes throughout. It can be annoying, but it kept things upbeat. I would have liked more in-depth discussion and more pictures of the samples of each technique. The idea to always test your paint idea on a woodboard (before doing an entire room and then not liking it) is a great tip!
