The cookbook has been used, but just the covers show wear. The side edge on the front cover has a tear and bottom edge of the front cover shows some wear. Back cover side edge also has a few small tears and creases because the covers stick out about half an inch from the pages. INSIDE the pages are at least 98% free of any marks, stains or writing. There are just a few faded splash marks on the side page edges that don't show on the pages.
Originally published in 1974, this is the Fifth Printing, 1980.The first part of the book is divided into seasons and holidays and various theme parties, even for children, with menu ideas and tips for invitations, entertainment, decorations, etc.
The second part of the book has all the recipes, divided into First Course, Entrees, Accompaniments, Desserts, Misc., all with an index 316 pages with an average of 3 recipes per page in the courses section of the cookbook.
