TEMPLATES & PASTERNS EXPLAINED
by Pat Yamin Looking for a way to learn how to quilt? Need a book full of patchwork ideas and easy-to-sew patterns? Then here's the quilting instruction book for you!
Use these 18 basic squares and triangles to make the same quilts our grandmothers made, but with newer techniques, accurate templates, and rotary cutting methods. Take a walk back in time with this collection of 125 ready-to-use patterns. With the simple steps of cutting strips of fabric and laying a template on the strip, cutting accuracy is assured and time saved. The math has been done for you. All you need to do is trace, cut, and sew! All corner patterns are full-size and double-cut so there is no guessing where to add the 1/4" seam allowances for sewing.
This book offers classic, traditional patterns to match all sewing skill levels. The author has selected basic blocks that are 6 to 12 inches. Choose a pattern, decide on the block size, copy a template, cut, and sew! Using three basic color-coded shapes in various sizes, you can make more than a hundred beautiful pieced blocks. The quilted samples burst with great ideas and colorful blocks in the latest fabrics.
A how-to manual for cutting old-time patchwork patterns with today's accurate templates and quick rotary techniques. All 175 block patterns are made from three basic shapes: the square, the half-square triangle, and the quarter-square triangle. Make different and unique-looking blocks, choosing your own colors and fabrics in light, medium, and dark tonal values. Overlapping skill levels - patterns are grouped by easy, intermediate, and advanced for Nine-Patch, Four-Patch, and Five-Patch blocks. Contains full-sized templates with double-cut points for accuracy. The math has been done for you; just trace, cut, and sew!
The book measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall with 111 pages including index. The book is in lightly used condition with no marks or writing in the book and just some light wear to the front and back cover edges from re-shelving. There is a red line remainder mark on the bottom of the book.
